Withdrawal notice

This notice informs you about your statutory right of withdrawal when purchasing Pool Buddy Premium (Season or one-time), under German consumer law (§§ 355, 356, 356a BGB). It follows the statutory model withdrawal notice. It does not replace individual legal advice; for specific legal questions about your situation, please contact a consumer advice centre or a lawyer. The German-language version is the legally authoritative one.

Since September 2026 the purchase is handled by Link as the merchant of record. The next section sets out who is responsible for what. Your statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer is unaffected.

Who is your contracting party?

Purchases of Pool Buddy Premium are handled by Link (a Stripe service). Link acts as the merchant of record — checkout and receipt show the note “Sold through Link”. The payment is processed by Stripe Payments Company or Stripe Technology Europe, Limited.

This splits responsibilities as follows:

• Link collects the purchase price, remits VAT, sends the payment receipt and invoice, handles refunds and chargebacks, and answers questions about the payment itself.
• Pool Buddy (Dominik Graham Pritchett) provides the Premium features and remains your contact for everything concerning the product — activation, licence, faults.

Your bank statement therefore shows the charge with the prefix LINK.COM*. You can view and manage your orders at link.com.

Which of the two is obliged to unwind the contract in an individual case depends on the legal classification of this arrangement, which this notice cannot settle conclusively. So that this cannot work to your disadvantage, you may address your withdrawal to both — we will forward it either way.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal via the electronic withdrawal function on this website. If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal without delay (e.g. by email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Because the purchase is handled by Link as the merchant of record, you can also declare your withdrawal directly there via Link support. Both routes meet the deadline.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, all payments you have made shall be reimbursed to you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which notice of your withdrawal was received. The same means of payment will be used as in the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

The reimbursement itself is made by Link, because that is where the purchase price was collected. If you declare the withdrawal to us, we arrange the refund via Link without delay; if you declare it directly to Link support, it is triggered there. The refunded amount includes the VAT you paid.

Why this is stated here: we cannot promise reimbursement out of our own funds, because the money is not held by us. This does not change the statutory fourteen-day period — it applies regardless of which of the parties involved technically executes the transfer. If the refund does not arrive, contact us and we will follow it up.

Special note on digital content and digital services

Pool Buddy Premium is digital content or a digital service not supplied on a tangible medium. Under German law (§ 356 (4) and (5) BGB), the right of withdrawal for such contracts can lapse early if you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period expires and have simultaneously confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Because we cannot reliably obtain such a separate, verifiable consent before conclusion of the contract in every case, we assume in your favour that your right of withdrawal has not already lapsed through activation of Premium. The electronic withdrawal function therefore remains available to you regardless of when you activated it. Whether your right of withdrawal still applies in your specific case is reviewed by us after we receive your withdrawal.

Season pass and extended periods

Pool Buddy Premium Season is a 365-day unlock from activation, not an automatically renewing subscription. The right of withdrawal relates to the original purchase contract; the mere passage of time of the unlock does not create a new right of withdrawal.
